The family of Ernest Lloyd McKenzie (Ernie) announces with deep sadness the peaceful passing of their husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather at the age of 93 in Victoria, British Columbia on March 18th, 2023.
Ernie was an avid outdoorsman and proud member of the Korean Veterans Association. He was devoted to is family and will forever be remembered for his gentleness, generosity and engaging sense of humour.
Ernie is survived by his wife Mary Lou, daughter Lee (Joseph), grandchildren Joseph (jennifer) and Michaela (Craig), great grandchildren Willa, Fletcher, Finn and Calvin, his half siblings Roy and Gail, and large extended family.
He was predeceased by his parents Harvey and Ina, his mother-and father-in-law Harvey and Hilda, his brother Roy, sister May, half-brother Arthur, and his beloved granddaughter Meghan.
Following cremation, interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
