Mom was brought up in a Baptist household.  Because of her upbringing, Mom’s life was full of comfort and acceptance, no matter who you were, what you thought or what you believed.
Her faith in God, though seldom seen, was always present in her outlook on life and I am sure it comforted her through good times and troubled times alike.
It’s this memory of Mom I wanted to share today.  Mom took us to church every Sunday morning in our early childhood which instilled a sense of belonging early on in my life; a comforting place to think about from time to time.  
I think she would be pleased to have couple of versus from the bible read to comfort all of us through this final difficult time.
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
And John 14: 1-3
Do not let your hearts be troubled.  Trust in God; trust also in me.
In my Fathers’ house are many rooms: if it were not so, I would have told you.  I am going there to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

Rest in peace Mom.
