Dad left me a wonderful legacy of appreciation for the amazing planet we live on, along with a lasting fondness for the creatures we share this little blue mudball with -- I celebrate his legacy every day, by watching birds, walking in the local parks and woods, and photographing the wonders around me.   Dad lives on in my  active participation in this world.

Jean, we are certainly thinking of you and your family. Geoff will have left a lot of cherished memories as a husband, father, Grand-father & good friend to many! He will be missed. We have great memories of our chance meetings with you guys, be it Melfort, Ontario or Victoria. And of course our yearly correspondence.

I celebrate my father's life and mourn his passing. His wit and verbal sharpness were legendary. His devotion and duty were not as obvious, but equally strong. He told me often in his last days of how much he enjoyed his two careers, especially the second where he left a trail of satisfied customers across Northern Ontario.

In his last minutes, he was still telling stories to the doctors and nurses in attendance. He was amusing others until the end.

My mother Jean and I were with him through the process. He'd had a lot of time with Kathy and Jayne in recent days, and spoke to both of them on the day. The doctors and nurses were gracious and supportive. Dad's ending was a descent into sleep, deeper sleep and then a painless ending.

To celebrate his life, look with joy at a bird today, tell an amusing anecdote or play a game.
