Gobinder Singh Baidwan

Gobinder Singh Baidwan passed away peacefully in his 83rd year on Thursday, December 28, 2023, surrounded by the love of his family. Predeceased by his parents, Ajaib Singh and Harbant Kaur and younger brothers, Sukhminder Singh and Nirbhai Singh. Gobinder is survived by Raj, his devoted wife of 52 years; his children, Jaspaul (Jaspreet), Sabrina (Mandeep), Varinder (Sonia), Jeavan (Rishi), Bena (Amr) and grandchildren, Sahil, Saira, Ekam, Aykta, Nixon, Niko, Diya, Krish, Rishaan, Ameera, Amariah, Aryana, many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Gobinder was born in the Village Kumbra, Mohali, Punjab on June 18, 1940. He attended Panjab University in Chandigarh, India before arriving in Victoria, BC in 1962. He began his career working for IWA - Forest Industries and retired in 1998. Gobinder worked hard in order to provide for his family. He was generous with his children and grandchildren as well as supporting his extended family. He will be missed by his many longtime friends and family.

Funeral service will take place on Friday, January 5th @ 11am, First Memorial Funeral, 4725 Falaise Dr, Victoria BC followed by Bhog and Antim Ardas at Gurdwara Khalsa Diwan Society, 1210 Topaz Ave, Victoria BC.
