Gregory John Diemert

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Gregory John Diemert on Sunday May 25, 2025. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. Greg touched the lives of many people with his quick wit and humour.

Born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Greg spent his early teen years in Saskatoon, where he met his beloved wife Brenda through their shared passion for horses. They married in 1967 and built a life together, they raised two daughters in Saskatoon before moving west to Victoria, a place that quickly felt like home. There, they welcomed their third daughter and created lasting memories by the sea on Vancouver Island.

Greg was a hardworking man known for his dedication to his family, his passion for boats and cars, along with his generous spirit. He was predeceased by his cherished wife Brenda and his parents.

He is survived by his daughters Kim (Vince), Renee (Ariel), and Chantelle (Lorne), and grandchildren Lexie, Kylie, Logan, and Matty along with his brother Don and his beloved dog Max.

We are deeply grateful to the compassionate team at VGH 6th South A/B unit for their exceptional care during Greg’s final days.

Greg will be dearly missed and forever remembered in our hearts.

A small family service will be held at a future date.
