 We spent 6 years as friends and classmates in Meds' 63, a small, close group.  My wife and I visited your home and lovely gardens and we always were the recipients of some of your flowers as a surprise in our hotel room. Your kind acts and warm smile shall be remembered.

I was so sad to hear the news from Catherine-- to loose someone so involved in life for it to end so suddenly and without warning is indeed a shock. Helen and I go back some many years.  I always enjoyed time with her, her love of music and her garden.  I will be thinking of you on Thursday when you celebrate her life. My thoughts are with you, Catherine and all your family. So sorry to learn of Helen's sudden passing. I first met Helen in grade 13 in Toronto when she befriended a newbie from Sask.  We became very good friends, sharing our music and travelling  for almost 4 months through Europe a couple of years later.  We shared important events such as our weddings as well. Helen invited me to join her music ensemble and that started years of friendship and fun with her and the other musicians at her lovely home with its beautiful, ever changing garden.  She was always so generous and welcoming.  Rest in peace Helen.

Saddened to hear of Helen's passing.  We were classmates at Leaside High and travelled to Spain and France with Margaret Lane in 1959.  Helen was the linguist and I the art gallery guide.  A gentle, kind, friend.

Dear Helen:  I was just getting to know you and was thinking of all the great discussions we were going to have, especially during break at the Peninsula Singers' rehearsals which will start in a couple of weeks. You were what I would call a "lovely person", attentive, kind and so complimentary to me. Caring about music and how it was presented.  You were brave to come back to rehearsals after your fall and you made it to all of our concerts, upright and smiling. Your standing alongside Lee Porteous, myself and Carolyn Rymes in the second last row of the second altos was a good feeling.  I hope music is playing wherever you are.
