Ken was born September 2, 1933, in Parry

Sound, Ontario. He passed away peacefully in

Victoria on March 30, 2018.

He was predeceased by his wife of 31 years,

Marlene, sister Bessie and brother Murray.

He will be sadly missed by his son Garry,

daughter Laurie (Brent), sisters Ellen Gilchrist

and Edith Burnfield, sister-in-law Kathy Lavelle

(Anthony), and many nieces and nephews.

Ken worked as a peacekeeper in Korea with the

Queens Own Rifles in the 1950’s. He later

worked for Zedco on offshore oilrigs in the

North Seas, Algeria, and Texas. He also worked

for Yarrows at the Dockyard in Victoria.

The family would like to thank Drs. Tesssaro

and Scott, and the nursing staff on 6A, VGH,

for their wonderful care of Ken.

A date for a private memorial will be set later.
