Irene passed away peacefully on September 23, 2021, at the age of 91. She resided at The Priory Long-Term Care in Langford, BC for several years. Predeceased by her husband and soulmate Morrison (Bud) Curry in 1983. Loved and survived by her sons Robert (Patricia), Raymond, daughters Marie (Phil), Linda (Randy), and sister Margaret (Bill), 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild and many special friends. Some may remember Irene from her many years of working in the Coffee Bar & Bakery at the Fort & Foul Bay Safeway. The family would like to thank the nurses, staff, and volunteers at The Priory for their excellent care, support and compassion. As per her request a private gravesite celebration was held with the immediate family attending. If so desired, donations in Irene's memory would be appreciated to the Dementia Society, Broken Promises (Animal) Rescue or The Eldercare Foundation - for The Priory.
