Mr. James Gabriel De La Fontaine

It is with great sadness that the family of James Gabriel de la Fontaine, known to friends as "Jim", passed away on Sunday April 29, 2018, at the age of 68 years. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Candy and by his daughters, Melanie and Lori. Jim will also be fondly remembered by his four grandchildren, Bryce, Cole, Abigail and Alexa, as well as his dear friends.

Jim was a skilled mechanic. During his career he had the opportunity to work on projects in many locations in western Canada. Jim made Victoria B.C. his home in 1985, where he eventually retired as a civilian from the Canadian Navy HMC Dockyard Esquimalt. Jim had a passion for musical instruments, especially guitars, he also enjoyed reading and giving smiles to others thru his kindness and positive energy.

In keeping with Jim's wishes, no funeral services will be held.
