James "Jim" Douglas Donaldson

It is with profound sadness that we announce ‘Jim’s’ passing into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a valiant battle with cancer. Born in Toronto Ontario, predeceased by his parents Bill and Betty, Jim is survived by his devoted and loving wife Julie, sister Nancy, son Dale, daughter Lee Mawhinney (Mark), granddaughter Kara Frawley, grandson Keegan and great grandson Odin. Jim will be missed by brothers-in-law Allan (Janet), Bob (Caroline) and many nieces and nephews.

Jim was a committed businessman who spent over 40 years as a Tax Accountant and then 25 years in Real Estate. His last years were spent as Managing Broker for Fair Realty. Jim had a tremendous gift for writing but his greatest passion was serving the Lord, teaching and sharing God’s Word.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the BC Cancer Agency and Palliative Care Unit, Saanich Peninsula Hospital.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 11:00AM. Hosting will be Peninsula Mission Community Church, which meets at Seventh Day Adventist Church 9300 Willingdon Road, North Saanich, BC. On the left hand side as you head to the Victoria Airport. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of one’s choice in loving memory of Jim would be greatly appreciated.
