James "Jimmy" Fleming Pryde

Jimmy leaves behind his son Doug (Heather), three grandchildren Kelsey (Brad), Danny (Tristan) and Stuart, two great grandchildren Casey and Austin and his sister-in-law Ethel. He was predeceased by Hannah, his wife of 50 years, his daughter Donna (Rob), and his siblings Kathy (Victor), Peter (Mary), John, Nancy (William), William (Ethel), Alexander (Betty), and Janette (George).

Jimmy was born in Motherwell, Scotland on January 11, 1933. He immigrated to Montreal, Canada in 1954 and then moved to Ottawa where he met and married Hannah Purvis. In 1974 they made a permanent move to Victoria with their two children and resided there for the remainder of their lives.

A celebration of life will be held at First Memorial Funeral Services March 14th, 2026 at 2:00 pm (address below).

As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Jimmy to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC.

He will be sadly missed by everyone who’s life he touched. We will treasure the many memories we have forever.

Our thanks to the staff at Beacon Hill Villa and Skyview at the Gorge Hospital for the care Jimmy received in a wonderful way.
