Jean's Royal Jubilee Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae want you all to know how much she was valued by classmates, fellow nurses and the Archives where she contributed many hours to updating the collections of nursing memorabilia.  She was much loved by all.

Please accept my sympathy and condolences on Jean's death. 

I too will miss dear Jean. She and I were 3rd cousins; our grandmothers were sisters. However, we really met because of her nursing. My husband was a surgeon at the Jubilee Hospital when Jean was a nurse there in the 1950's. She approached him at the hospital one day to confide that the two of them were related by marriage. He invited her to our home for dinner the next evening, and that was that, cousins became acquaintances and then friends.  

Jean and I lived just a walk apart in Victoria and had many lovely, warm chats about relatives and family over cups of tea at each other's homes. When our “eastern” relatives (from Ontario) were in town, she or I would have them to dinner, inviting each other to join in renewing family ties. A lovely, kind lady, a fine baker and cook, a charming hostess, and a devoted and talented nurse, she will be missed and mourned. God bless her.

I was so sad to hear of Jean's passing.  She and Ed were wonderful neighbours for many years.  My deepest condolences to the entire family.

I am so sorry to hear of Jean's death. I have many special memories of living next door to Jean and Ed for many years and as neighbors they were the best! My daughters loved going over to visit Jean especially when she had just baked cookies and she always greeted them warmly and with open arms.
My thoughts are with you Bev and Ed and all the family.
