Sally, born in Leeds, England, entered nursing and midwifery training in Edinburgh in 1969. Prior to emigrating to Montreal General Hospital in 1975, she was Night Sister at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. She reconnected with the love of her life, Dr Ken Wilson, in 1977 in Saskatoon and was married in 1978. She was proud Mum of Amanda (Richard), Sarah (Michael) and Michael (Nadine), and grandmother of Gavin Wilson and Rachael Cook. Her nursing career was overtaken by family life, and she was later diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. Nevertheless, Sally traveled the world with Ken - Far East, The Americas, Australia, Caribbean, UK top to bottom, Europe, North Africa. In October, she developed pneumonia and, despite expert management, died peacefully in Royal Jubilee Hospital. Sally loved and supported her children and husband unconditionally. She will be remembered forever. We thank Dr James Cox, medical and nursing staff at RJH and Vancouver General for their sustained efforts to help Sally. Private cremation and family gathering forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
