Jennifer is survived by her sister Veronica Modjeski, her parents, Yasuko and Richard Modjeski, and her partner Jeremy Town. She was born in Fairfax, Virginia and raised in Maryland and was a Canadian citizen by choice. Jennifer and Jeremy were adolescent sweethearts, and they moved to BC where they both graduated from the University of Victoria. They have resided in Victoria for the last sixteen years. Jennifer was also distinguished by a Master’s degree in clinical counseling from Yorkville University.
Jennifer’s interest and caring for others were immediately apparent to everyone who met her. She was a cheerleader to many friends, a fierce supporter and guardian of those she loved. She also was a frequent volunteer and supporter of women’s and animal issues. Jennifer established her counseling practice to offer that insight and caring to others as well. Her family would like to offer heartfelt thanks to all of those who knew and loved her.
Nature’s first green is gold
Her hardest hue to hold
Her early leaf’s a flower
But only so an hour
So leaf subsides to leaf
So Eden sank to grief
So dawn goes down to day
Nothing gold can stay
