To all the Forge family: So very sorry to hear of your dad's passing. May all your great memories be a comfort at this difficult time. Thinking of you.

My earliest memories of Mr Forge were in grade 4 at Keating Elementary and then at Mt Newton.  I remember him taking the girls in the class out to the parking lot where he attempted to teach you ladies what made a car run!  I am not sure that what he taught us that day did much good, but the memories of his patience and his sense of humour will never be forgotten.  I trust that all the wonderful memories you have will sustain you in your time of loss.

Uncle John, a pillar in our family, an organizer, he could make things happen, to spend time in his presence was loved by us so much! We loved his smile and positive way of living, He was always fun to be around. He set an example to follow and his bare was set high.  Our love to the family

We were very saddened to hear of Mr. Forges passing. I remember him as a peaceful, intellectual with a great love for people. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are sincerely with you all. God Speed

Mr. Forge was one of those special teachers who always made you feel good about being in his classroom. Lessons were fun and relaxed. He did seem more a friend than a figure of authority.  He was part of a team of wonderful teachers at Mt. Newton and Claremont who had a positive  influence on the lives of so many. He is always in my thoughts when I think back on my years at school. I feel very fortunate to have had him as a teacher and friend. I know how much he will be missed by his family but know they will never be parted because of all the good memories they hold in their hearts.

Dear Mrs. Forge and the Forge Family,
In 1959, I was struggling with high school math and Mr. Forge came to my rescue.  Every Saturday afternoon for many months, my mother drove me to Sidney for a lesson with Mr. Forge who was unfailingly kind, patient, and helpful.  I passed the course!
Happy memories of a real gentleman.  My sincere condolences to you all.

Dear Sharon and family, It has been a long time since I last saw your Dad; I was only a teenager. But I have strong impressions of him. The first thing I "see" is his smile (including his eyes!), his warmth and his kindness. I felt he was genuinely interested in me both as a student and his daughter's friend. He laughed easily and often. He had a great voice. He had a "safe" feeling about him that must have been comforting to his students, friends, and family. And along with your mother, he had the gift of hospitality which I know he passed along to you Sharon. May his memory be a blessing forever. Thinking of you at this sad time.
