It is with great sadness that we announce the passing into God’s glory of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, John Peereboom. John is predeceased by his parents and brothers. He is mourned by Wilma, his wife of 67 years, his children, Peter (Christine), William (Connie), Theresa (Ron), eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
John was born in Heerenveen, The Netherlands and immigrated to Canada in 1952. He spent most of his working life as a draftsman and architectural technician with the Government of BC Public Works department (Architectural Design Branch) and with BC Buildings Corporation.
John loved walking on beaches, hiking, cycling, woodworking and reading. He designed and built the house his children grew up in.
The family invites friends and relatives to a Celebration of Life scheduled for October 24 at 2 p.m. at First Memorial Funeral Services (4725 Falaise Dr., Victoria BC).
