June was born in Barbados in the Caribbean in 1933 where she lived and went to Queens college until she graduated. Daughter of Eileen and William Croney and sister of Jasmine, Jimmy and Cheryl. June married Richard Blaire Taylor in 1951. They had Gina, Vance and Kent. Richard died in 1971, leaving her, as a single mother to raise 3 children, which she did with grace.
She immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1974. A few years later she moved to Victoria, B.C. and lived there until 2023.
June worked for Monk Office Supply for years and then Remax Realty.
in 1981 she married Robert Badham and they were happily married for 42 years until the day she died. Within that time she was a wonderful grandmother to Laine, Blaire, Clint, Jason and Megan. She was special aunty to Brandon, Morgan and Kristal. she also had 8 great grandchildren.
June's favourite sport was tennis which her early years she played very well and won many tournaments.
June loved her art. Painting many beautiful pieces which her children still have today. She was very fond of birds as well and has a sparrow who lived on her porch for many years, homing into a coconut husk from Barbados every night. She even wrote about this bird and won an essay prize. She had beautiful penmanship and was always penning poems as well. June loved to sing and was a fixture in the choir at Church of Our Lord for many years.
June was a beautiful, elegant lady with silver hair from the time she was in her 20's until the day she went to live with her Jesus. What a great, strong woman she was and was loved by everyone she met.
God rest her soul and may she rise in glory.
