Karen passed away peacefully with family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Honey Torkko, her brother Ted (2011) and her sister Leela Torkko (2016). Also predeceased by her in-laws Don and Ivy Smith. Karen is survived by her husband of 57 years John, sons Kevin (Kim) of Victoria and Ian (Ken) of Port Alberni. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Deborah Torkko of Courtenay and her nieces Keira (Thomas, Jeremy and Kyle Fletcher) of Ottawa and Paula (Sean, Jack and Josh Procyshyn) Victoria.
No flowers or service. If desired, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the BC Cancer Society.
