Born in 1928 in Llanelli, Wales, Leonard Frederick Franks passed away July 5th 2025, after 76 years of marriage to his wife Marian. In 1958 he moved his family of two children (Angela & Paul) to Vancouver Island, soon after having two more children (Colin & Tina). A quiet man, he worked steadily and reliably as a custodian for the federal government and local school district, while raising the family in Sidney, BC, and then enjoying retirement in Brentwood Bay. He was the classic "handyman", and spent much time making and fixing things, and he & Marian enjoyed many travels together over the years, along with enjoying grandchildren & great grandchildren. Many thanks to the staff at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital LTC unit where he received their kind and professional care for the past two years.
