Loretta (NEE Inglis) Mason (Mutch)

Loretta passed away peacefully in Victoria, her children with her in her last days. She was the second oldest of 8 children born to Blanche and Earle Inglis in Summerland, BC. She married young, raised 3 children and worked many years as a secretary. She was widowed at 57 but found love again and remarried several years later. Loretta loved traveling, gardening, knitting and golf. She remained an avid reader her entire life. She was a long time volunteer at Mount St. Mary’s seniors home. She had wanted to be a nurse and was always a caregiver.

Loretta was predeceased by her first husband, Mickey Mutch, in 1995 and her second husband Bert Mason in 2022, 2 sisters and a stepson Greg. She is survived by her children Jacquie (Tim), Wally (Haixia) and Shelley (Doug). Stepchildren Kathy, Tom and Dan and daughter-in-law Joanne. Grandchildren Jarrett, Tyler, Kelsi, Chelsea, Alex and Kristjan, 8 great grandchildren, and numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

A celebration of life for Loretta will be held Friday, September 6, 2024 at 2:00 PM at First Memorial Funeral Service, 4725 Falaise Dr, Victoria, British Columbia V8Y 1B4.
