Margaret Higgins

Margaret (nee Manning) Margaret Higgins 98, of North Saanich, BC passed away peacefully on Monday May 25th, 2015 at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital. Born July 19, 1916 in Galt, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Robert Manning and Mary Ellen Slater. She was a graduate of the Galt Collegiate. She is predeceased by her husband, George Freeman Higgins and brother, Robert Manning. She is survived by her children, Kingsley Grant Higgins (Deborah), Sharron-Lynne Baker (Bryce), grandchildren Tajsha Neuls (Nicholas), Walter Johann Schneider (Allison), Chandler (Coco), and Brianna Higgins (Charles), great-grandchildren, Stefan, Andrew, Daniel, Arianna, Emily, Maddalyn, Mary (Neuls) and Bryn (Schneider). Margaret lived in Burnaby for 21 years. She will always be remembered for her irrepressible sense of humour, quick wit and ability to make everyone laugh. Her family was the most important thing to her. The warmth she gave to all she met will be with us forever. She was always there when someone was in need. A greater friend, Mother, Wife, Grandmother and Great-grandmother no one could have asked for. She will be sorely missed. We say goodbye to a very fine woman.
