Roberta was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba where she attended elementary and high school. In Montreal, she entered the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary. After a fall while skating, Roberta’s health required her to leave the convent. She then attended Normal School and subsequently taught in Winnipeg, followed by West Vancouver from where she retired in June, 1995. Roberta was a reader, golfer, birder, kayaker, camper, staunch union supporter, avid sports fan and a friend to many.
She was predeceased by her brother, Paul, as well as a great niece and nephew. She is survived by her sister, Judy McDonald and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Three of these, Marcia, Kelsey and Seth, deserve a special thank you for supporting Roberta during her months long stay in the hospital.
