It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother (GG) and sister at the age of 91 following a brief illness. Though her passing was unexpected and too soon as she planned on living forever. She will live forever in our hearts. Mom was blessed with excellent health, a ready smile and energy until her final days.
Born and raised in Vancouver of Scottish parents, mom was always proud of her Canadian and Scottish Heritage. Some of her fondest memories were of large family dinners and gatherings, as well as summers at Crescent Beach and working weekends at her aunt’s beauty supply shop as a teenager. She also enjoyed traveling. Family, friends and community service were always the center of her life. This is reflected in her work with community service organizations, such as Cool Aid Society and her volunteer work with Victoria Silver Threads. She always advocated for those in need, was always willing to lend a helping hand and share her wisdom.
She was predeceased by her parents, John and Margaret Fraser, her older brother, Donald Fraser (Irene), Her son Murray in 1995, son-in-law Mike and sister-in-law Delores, nephew Gregg Fraser and niece Barbara Schultz. She is survived by her daughter Leslie and grandchildren Christopher, David (Mallory), Erin (Ray), Lindsay (Ryan) and nine Great grandchildren, daughter Sandra (Dave). She is also survived by her Younger brother Ian Fraser as well as nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by all. There will be no service by request.
Rest in peace, Mom.
