OBITUARY

Margaret Lindgren

July 10, 1953January 5, 2021

Peggy was born July 10, 1953 in Oliver, BC to T. Harold and Esther E Dawson who are both deceased. She is survived by her loving husband Don and daughter Kyla, her sisters Mary (Al) Wills and Judy (Rick) Harpur, many nephews, nieces', cousins and an uncle.

Peggy was so proud of her family and her home, spending many hours in her yard, especially with her cherished roses. She loved her family so much and treasured her time with her husband and daughter. They created wonderful memories on several trips and enjoyed years of camping and fishing at Cameron Lake, Campbell River and many others spots on Vancouver Island. Peggy was proud of her contribution to ICBC for 31 years, she especially enjoyed being part of organizing the many fun staff activities.

Peggy will be missed by her family and her many friends; from her childhood and adult life she was loyal and true to each one. Don, Kyla, Mary, Judy and their extended family wish to thank the Cancer Clinic Dr's and staff, the Saanich Community health Nurses and the Palliative Response Team for their kindness and gentle caring of Peggy and the family.

A private celebration/internment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Victoria Hospice Society or a charity of your choice. Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed, so very dear.

Don and Kyla,
we are so sorry to hear of your loss. You are both in our hearts and thoughts.
Peggy had such a sunny disposition, always up for an adventure. We had such a good time for the girls graduation trip to Hawaii and lots of fun camping on Hornby. Peggy was a devoted mother, wife, daughter, auntie, sister and friend. She left this world a better place.

Sending my sincerest condolences to all. I am one of the lucky ones to have been one of Peggy's office friends at Health and Welfare Canada about 45 years ago. I think we were both experiencing our first "real job." Peggy made it fun! It has been many years since we last met..shopping with our daughters at Sears, I think, but I will always remember her smile and laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with you Don, Kyla, Mary, extended family and friends.

Peggy was a fabulous co-worker up to her retirement. Also loved cheery season when she brought bags of cherries to the office.
Big hugs to all of you.

Don and Kyla
Please know that we share your sorrow at this time.
Peggy was a gal who loved to bake . She especially enjoyed making butter tarts for her nephews Brad and Jeremy. She had a little giggle that was just “her “ and recognizable in a group. She spoke fondly of all the camping trips and timed shared with Don, family and friends. Peggy would often mentioned the Campbell River area and it’s beauty. Peggy adored her daughter Kyla and loved to spend time doing special mother / daughter road trips plus many shopping adventures!
She could often be found puttering in her garden that was always amazing, esp. her Calla lilies and roses.
We will miss you Peggy.
May she Rest In Peace.
Love and warm embraces.
