It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margot Isabel Every Clayton, nee Forrest on April 25, 2025. Born on September 12, 1928 in London, England, Margot was the beloved wife of George William Clayton, mother of Kathleen (Scott), Stephen (Barbara), Michael Bruce (Susan) and Margaret (Simon). She also leaves 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Margot had many artist friends and was an Associate Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists. George and Margot moved a great deal over the years, living in Vancouver, Peterborough, Niagara Falls, Argentina and Toronto. Her greatest nightmare was moving and after 28 moves they retired to North Saanich where she enjoyed her lovely studio and big garden for more than 30 years. Margot will be remembered for her colourful oil paintings of BC forests and scenes of BC missed while in faraway places.
Service to be held at the Royal Oak Burial Park chapel on May 13, 2025 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
