Mark lived and worked his entire life in the Victoria area. Graduating from Mount View Secondary School he quickly obtained Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic and Welding certifications from Camosun Collage. Mark worked most of his young career with the family construction company, driving and maintaining heavy equipment. In his off hours Mark enjoyed the local oval track racing scene. Fabricating and owning many cars along with promoting the sport, Mark was inducted as a Pioneer into the Victoria Auto Racing Hall of Fame in 2012.
In recent years Mark owned and operated a custom car restoration business. Mark’s passion for custom cars began at a very early age. Inspired by the legendary Ed Roth, Mark customized many vintage cars and trucks for himself, friends and clients. Building and showing his own drivable custom creations in Canada and the USA along with his loving wife Ann was his true calling. Mark will be sorely missed by his family, pet dog Chloe and many friends found throughout life.
