Surrounded by love, our Marney left us to go to “the next place” where she can continue to do all the things we so loved, admired and respected about her. Her unwavering support to others in need, her dedicated volunteering with Hospice, being a leader and care support member with Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, the local peer support group and advocating for those who did not have a strong voice.
Always stylish, always a smile, always bringing people together, she set the bar high!
She was a best friend, sister, aunt, mom, gramma for so many of us or was just being Marney who would always give time to anyone that needed a shoulder or an ear.
Her family and her extended family were so incredibly important to her and she made sure we knew that. We could not be more proud of her courage, strength and dignity to the end - we will miss her beyond words.
Marney is predeceased by her husband and soulmate Reg, her parents Ron and Evelyn McCutcheon and her brother Les McCutcheon. She leaves behind her immediate family, extended family and a bounty of friends, you know who you are.
Our thanks to the Saanich Peninsula Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their compassionate care and kindness.
Please join us to Celebrate Marney’s life Sat June 28, 2025 at 3:00 pm in the Couvelier Pavilion at the Horticultural Centre of the Pacific, 505 Quayle Road in Victoria
