They married in 1959 and moved to Victoria in 1972.
Harvey had a long career at BC Tel, while Kay worked many years at Royal Jubilee Hospital.
They retired to Mudge Island in 1998, living in the home that Harvey built next to their summer cabin. They enjoyed island life (most of the time!) and the tight-knit, helpful community.
In every place they lived, they enjoyed their many hobbies, community service, and treasured friendships.
Harvey died August 13, 2021 after a short battle with cancer. Key, faced with multiple health issues, moved into independent living in Nanaimo. She settled in nicely (to our happy amazement). Although she missed Harvey and Mudge, she was cheerful, and grateful for all the available supports. After continuing decline, she died September 25, 2023.
We miss them.
Survived by children Russ (Terri), and Beth (Andrew), and grandsons Connor and Garrett (their mother Theresa), and Eric.
