Bibiji was born in 1924 in the village Virkan, Punjab. She was the first child of Swaran Singh and Karam Kaur Samra. She had four brothers, all of whom predeceased her, and she is survived by her only sister, Jeet Kaur Johal (Paul). She married to the late Lashman Singh Johal in 1942. They went on to have three daughters, Gurpal Purewal (Jaswant), Gurbax Atwal (Gurpal), and Simer Mashiana (Jaswinder). She along with her daughters joined her husband in Canada in 1970 and she called Victoria home for 46 years.
She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Raj (Tina), Deep (Nicole), Rajeev (Shirin), Aneil (Manjeet), Sharn, and Nev. Bibiji also had four great grand children, Aikam, Ameer, Armaan, and Mikka Vir, who will miss her greatly.
Bibiji will be missed for her kindness and loving and caring nature. She was one in a million; full of warmth and love. She will forever have a place in our hearts.
