Morris "Moe" Romeo Champagne

It is with great sadness that we announce the

passing of our loving husband, father and

grandfather “Moe” on the April 14, 2013 in his

80th year in Victoria, BC. A life-long Leafs fan

and former resident of Cardinal, Ontario, Moe

was the proud son of Leo Champagne and

Anita Leger. Predeceased by his sisters

Jacqueline Sutton (Richard), Pauline Giles, and

brothers-in-law Jack MacDonald (Vivian and

Doris), Glen MacDonald (Gladys) and Howard

MacDonald (Betty). Moe is survived by his

cherished wife of 58 years Grace (MacDonald),

his loving daughters Karen Champagne and

Lynn Smith (Don), grandchildren Jessica

and Fraser, his sisters Denise Veillette

(Armand) and Iris Coluccia, brother Normand

(Lucie) and brother-in-law Edward (Ted)

MacDonald (Linda). The family would like to

thank Dr. Elisabeth Crisci, the Palliative Care

Unit and the volunteers of the Saanich

Peninsula Hospital for their compassionate

and extraordinary care of “Moe”.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am

on Friday, April 19th, 2013 at First Memorial

Funeral Services, 4725 Falaise Drive, Saanich,

BC. Reception to follow in the Garden Room.
