Patricia Eileen Johnson, 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 19, 2026 from a stroke. Patricia was born on April 6,1948 to Mary Margaret Thérèse (Pagé) Johnson and Bertie Lockwood Johnson in Prince Albert , Saskatchewan.
If ever there was a being that embodied the very essence of motherly love and immense kindness it was Patricia. Her hugs were the stuff of legends! Picture that sweet Mom or Grandma that stuffed you full of your favorite baked goodies or sweets, that was Patricia. Her baking fed your very soul. She was warmth and generosity personified. These traits endeared her to her fellow colleagues and patients during her over 30 year long career at the Victoria General Hospital, beginning as a Unit Clerk and then as a Pharmacy Technician. She believed in a kinder, gentler world and sadly now that she's gone, we deeply feel the loss of her gentle spirit. An avid worshipper of gardens, she loved all manner of flowers and plants. She was also a super fan of all things outer space and NASA. She always wished to be a part of the heavens and now she is a bright star in the firmament! We know with utter certainty she'll end up being a Guardian Angel! Her favorite movie was It's a Wonderful Life. We believe she felt a great kinship with the Angel, Clarence Odbody. "Every time a bell rings an Angel gets their wings!" We'll be listening for ringing bells Mom! Her faith was absolute, steadfast and unwavering. Her church life at Centennial United, Knox United, Chemainus United and Gordon United was the bread and water to her soul. So many years of love and fellowship. We know she will be deeply missed by her spiritual community. She is survived by her loving children, Carol Konkle (Len) and Shaun Konkle (Nicole), her granddaughter Rebecca MacTavish (Will), her siblings, nieces and nephews. In the last decade of her life Mom was under our care in one form or another and it was our greatest pleasure and privilege to be there for her. Patricia was a gift to us and the world. We will miss her beautiful spirit always. "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living my Mom you'll be.
A memorial will take place in April. Details will be shared at a later date.
