Richard Josef Lang

Born Oct 11, 1932 in Urberach, Germany, Dad immigrated to Canada in 1954 and Victoria became his home. Here he started Lang’s All-Make Automatic Transmissions. Retiring early he continued his passion for cycling which took him all around the world where he made many lifelong friends on his adventures. Dad was a true example of how to live life to the fullest and remained active his entire life hunting, skiing, camping and hiking often with his beloved dog, Belle, along Island View Beach. His humour was always present and we are so glad he is finally at peace.

Survived by his beloved children – daughter Renata and grandsons Daniel Jones and Michael Jones; daughter Michele (John) Wake and grand-daughter Caitlyn Wake; and son Martin (Tara O’Mara), and the German family.

Dad will always be remembered as a loving and humorous Opa to his grandkids and so many others.

Please join us for a celebration of Dad’s life on October 22 from 2pm-5pm at Saanich Commonwealth Place, Cedar Room.

Dad would want to hear all the stories and fun times, sharing good memories and have a final Prost!
