Ronald Albert Stubbings

Husband to Sherry, dad to Trevor (Marlena) and Alana (Justin), Pape to Rowan, Austin and Evelyn.

He also leaves behind his brother Skip (Belle), nieces Leeanne and Andrea and Families, brother John (Eva), nephew Matthew and niece Jenny and families and sister Donna (Dave)

Ron was born on May 3, 1945 in Toronto, moving with his family to Victoria at the age of 3. He was a gifted athlete at Vic High excelling at basketball, track and field, soccer, baseball and many other sports.

He enjoyed his firefighting career at the Saanich Fire Department, retiring after 34 years. He was a respected officer, a loyal friend and supportive comrade to those he worked with.

He had a great passion for trapshooting competition, including the World Police and Fire games, taking us to many countries. He was a regular shooter up and down Vancouver Island, making many longtime friends over the years.

A celebration of life for Ron will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 1:00 PM at South Vancouver Island Rangers Club, 3498 Luxton Road, Victoria, British Columbia.
