Ruth is survived by her brother Ed and twin sister Loraine. She will be dearly missed by her children: Bob, Kathy (Terry), Rick (Roxana), Wendy (Lee) and her grandchildren: Aaron, Coreen, Janice, Brian, Kyle, Colin, Jennifer and David and her 15 great grandchildren. Ruth will also be missed by John, her dear friend and steadfast companion for the past 3 years.
Ruth devoted her life to her husband and family. She enjoyed knitting, reading, gardening, walking, baking and her morning crossword puzzle was a must. Throughout her life she built strong and lasting friendships.
Kiwanis Pavilion was Mom’s home for the last 3 years and we give special thanks to all the staff for their kind and compassionate care.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 24th, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at First Memorial, 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: The Oak Bay Kiwanis Pavilion, the BC Heart and Stroke Foundation or the BC Cancer Society.
