I too am sorry to hear of his passing.  We were good friends in high school  I tutored him in Math in our first year at Victoria College (UVic)and he passed his courses.

Dear Dianne and family, 
I just today learned of Ryan's passing  and want to reach out to hug you.  I am so sorry for your loss. It was an honour to have worked with him.  I know you will miss him very much. With Ryan you have created such a strong and supportive family; keep on loving each other the way you already do.

Ryan was a good friend of mine for 46 years.  We spent many hours on the road when we travelled together on business trips.  In dealing with customers, employees, hotel clerks, friends and family, he was always the ultimate gentleman.  On the golf course or tennis courts, he never lost his temper.  Ryan was one of the "good guys".  We will miss his laughter, friendship and always dapper clothing attire.  Our condolences to Dianne and the family.  May your happy memories bring you comfort..... Dear Dianne, We met many years ago when we were all still so very young.  I remember Ryan's gentle kindness and humour and how in love the two of you were.  That was before the children and I am so happy you had them and that they brought such joy to your life.  Garth has kept the old gang apprised of Ryan's failing health over the past few years but I don't think any of us anticipated this sudden loss.  You, your children,and Garth are in my thoughts.  Heaven has acquired another angel.

We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Ryan. We came to know Ryan and Di through their son Cory who has been a life long friend of our son-in-law Ian McNeil. We hit it off right away mainly because of his

Our thoughts are with you and your family Di. We first knew your family beginning with playschool 40+ years ago and our ties through the kids grew through elementary school and high school. Later our friendship and the wonderful memories grew as "Cappers" enjoying tennis, family events, dinners and many weekends away exploring mystery B&Bs. A highlight shared by our two families was that memorable time on Maui in the van and at the luau in Lahaina. Throughout those wonderful times you and Ry were keystone to our shared friendships.
