Sandra was born in Ottawa and was an only child to Alf and Dot Wilson. She was a daughter, wife, mother, honorary auntie, partner, grandmother and friend to many. Professionally, she was a teacher teaching in Ontario and at Oak Bay High School for 23 years.
She is survived by her friend and partner, Don Sutherland, children Shawn, Kelly and Tim Hoey, and grandchildren Colt, Tucker, Dexter and Maxwell Hoey.
Sandra (Sandy to close friends) lived a colourful, full life. She was full of fun, laughter, and creativity. She appreciated the beauty and the finer things in life. Sandra always pursued her passion and encouraged others to do the same. Her energy and smile would captivate the room. The world is a little less colorful for her passing.
