Born in Victoria, Shirley participated in dance lessons from an early age. Performing and entertaining was a theme that carried on throughout her life. She enjoyed life and having fun.
Shirley and Rene spent 52 years together walking, exploring, traveling, gardening, driving trips, winters in Mexico and so much more. The thing she enjoyed the most was time with family and friends. With 3 children, Susan, Jim and Sandra, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren that meant lots of time to shine, including a dance performance with Rene at their granddaughter's wedding. She had so many long-term friendships that one of her children said it appeared she had spies everywhere. Those friendships meant a lot to her and she cherished the life long connections she had.
The perfectionist in Shirley shined through in her home and garden. She took great pride in directing and bossing Rene around to create a beautiful home with a gorgeous garden for 33 years in Brentwood bay and the last 13 on Pipeline which she referred to as Pippyleenee.
Shirley was a sharp dresser with a sharp wit and a love for life. She will be dearly missed by friends and loved ones.
