Born in Yorkshire, England, on September 11, 1937, to Ernest and Agnes Dunford, Terrance will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 64 years, Kathryn and their children Joanne (Michael), Robert, Malcolm (Cynthia), and Paula (Morne), along with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Terrance spent his early years in England working in the North Gawber coal mines. In 1970, he and Kathryn moved to Mufulira, Zambia, where he worked at the Chambishi Copper Mine. In 1975, they relocated to Labrador City, where he joined the Iron Ore Company of Canada. Five years later, they moved to the Yukon, where Terrance worked at the Cyprus Anvil Mine. He later worked fly-in/fly-out in Northern BC at the Cheni Gold Mines, finishing his mining career at the Polaris Mine for Cominco in the High Arctic.
Terrance was a man of adventure and travel, and he spent his later years in Victoria, where his family remained his greatest joy.
