This is a very sad & poignant piece of the written word. This is about my late husband. A man that was the kindest, dearest, caring and most loving man that I ever had the honour of knowing and loving.
The fact is that my husband was beloved by people and animals, a love that showed you in a small way the type of gentleman that Vern was.
Vern was born in Rocky Ford, Colorado in 1927. He had dual citizenship, American and Canadian. He served in the American Navy during the 2nd World War. He decided to move to B.C. when the war ended. He loved the Mountains and Rivers, the great fruit trees and grape vines, and it was one fine place for raising horses.
Vern loved this country and the people in it. He was the love of my life, and I was the love of his life.
