Passed away surrounded by his family at the age of 85. He was the beloved husband of 40 years to Frances. He leaves behind his much-loved children Matthew and partner Ned, Suzanne and partner Mike, Ryan & wife Edina; and his adored grandchildren. Barkley also leaves his sister Elizabeth, sister-in-law Eleanor, many nephews, nieces and friends. He was predeceased by his sister Ruth.
Barkley loved life to its fullest, always had a smile on his face. Growing up in Toronto, he was a boy scout and enjoyed the old trains and trolleys. In Kitchener/Waterloo he was a furniture sales rep., a member of Jaycees for many years and loved golfing at Westmount Golf and Country Club. He enjoyed the west coast, viewing the ocean, boating and travelling. Barkley was known as the genealogist of the family. He played the clarinet, and truly enjoyed listening to music and watching the old movies. Barkley loved all animals but especially their family pets over the years.
A family service will be held at a later date.
