Yvette Anne Deans

She leaves behind Kent, her husband of 48 years, who she married in Halifax, NS on July 6, 1974. She also leaves her son Robin (wife Rachel), daughter Tracy Humphreys (husband James), and 5 grandchildren - Delaney, Max, Samantha, Alex and Nick, as well as her 4 brothers, Mike, Paddy, Vic and Sean Cole, and her 2 sisters, Linda Cole and Shelley Michno. Yvette spent most of her working career with West Coast, Pacific Coast and Coast Capital Savings.

Yvette and Kent traveled the world extensively together and with friends, going on 25 cruises, land trips to Hawaii, Mexico and Cuba. They also loved traveling in their motorhome, going numerous times to California, Arizona and even 3 times to Mexico. They always returned happily to Victoria, their home together for 48 years.

Yvette was so loved by family and friends and was a warm and constant presence. She had a great will to live undergoing 90 Chemos and several radiations. She will be dearly missed.

Special thanks to Dr. Bernstein and all the staff at the Victoria Cancer Clinic who helped Yvette for the last 7 years and the staff at the Royal Jubilee Palliative Care Unit.

A Celebration of Life will be held in April; details will be shared at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Victoria Cancer Clinic or the BC Cancer Foundation.
