Allen Leroy Sparks

Allen Leroy Sparks, 86, of Victoria passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015. He was born in Victoria, TX on November 1, 1928 to the late Jim Harrison and Juanita Yoast Sparks. Leroy was a U.S. Marine, serving his country and later as a control systems technician for Union Carbide retiring after 27 years.

Survivors include his wife, Vera Mae Sparks; sons, Allen Leroy Sparks, Jr of Victoria, Ricky Ray Sparks and wife, Roxanna Leita Sparks of Austin, Kyle Christopher Daniels and wife Becky of Victoria; sister, Muriel Evonne Mason of Port Lavaca; brothers, Wallace Sparks of Paradise, CA, Jimmie Sparks of Harlingen, Robert Sparks of Victoria and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 20, 2015 from 6-7 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Funeral services will be 10 AM Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Rosewood Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tim Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery with full military honors under the auspices of the Victoria Veterans Council.

Pallbearers will be Reid Reynolds, Cody Ray Sparks, Britton Allen Sparks, Eric Gloris, Ricky Dale Foster, Dale Atchtee, Chris Willborn and David Brown.

Honorary pallbearers are Cassie Reynolds, Abby Gloris and Magen Sparks.
