Altha June Maxey, 76, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 1, 2020. Born June 1, 1943 in Daingerfield, TX to the late Marjorie Rumsey and Louis Lyssy. Altha, devoted wife and mother, is survived by her husband, Mickey R. Maxey; daughter, Pamela Ann Maxey Kirkpatrick and husband, Mark Kirkpatrick of Junction. A sister, Donna Lyssy Hauboldt and husband Randy of Victoria along with dear nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Maudie Wickliffe. Altha, as a small child moved with her family to Victoria and was a lifelong resident. She attended and graduated from Nazareth Academy grades 1-12. After Victoria Beauty College, she had a career as a beautician enjoying every moment of friendships throughout the years of her occupation. She was always ready for an adventure living life to the fullest. An active member of First English Lutheran Church, her love for the Lord gave her happiness to serve. Funeral services are January 7, 2020 at 10 AM at First English Lutheran Church with burial to immediately follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Celebration of Life luncheon and visitation for family and friends at FELC afterwards. Pallbearers are Randy Hauboldt, Chris Hauboldt, Wren Wickliffe, Brock Wickliffe, Bruce Wickliffe and Braden Wickliffe. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to First English Lutheran Church, Victoria, TX. Words of comfort may be shared at www.rosewoodfuneralchapel.com.
