

Alton Marbach, 79, of Victoria passed away, October 15, 2016. Alton was born in Victoria County, August 2, 1937 to the late Frank Sr. and Selma Seltzer Marbach. Alton worked for the Transcontinental Gas Pipeline for over 29 years before retiring. He enjoyed spending time with friends and drinking beer at The Waterin’ Hole. He loved going on gambling trips to Louisiana with his friends, son and daughter and enjoyed raising his cattle.
Alton is survived by his son, Todd Marbach (Nancy) of Humble, TX; daughter, Tracy Marbach of Victoria; step-son, Robert Knetig (Laura) of Victoria; step-daughter, Cecilia Carroll (James) of Yoakum; brothers, Louis Marbach (Tootsie) of Victoria, Frank Marbach, Jr of Victoria; Wanda Schmidt of Victoria; grandchildren, Trent and Mia Knetig, Lindsey Pena (Michael); great-grandchildren, Everett and Emmoree.
Alton was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary “Sandra” Marbach; brothers, Edward, Dennis, Weldon Marbach; sisters, Betty Jo, Alice and Gladys.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 6-8 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will immediately follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Marbach, Frank Tuch, Richard Marbach, Delton Marbach, Lesley Huber and Mike Hirschhauser.
