Alvina Wilke Schneider

Alvina Wilke Schneider, 88, of Victoria passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016. She was born April 22, 1928 in Gonzales to the late Richard and Olga Grauke Wilke. She was employed by VISD and First Victoria National Bank in food service. Alvina was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, playing dominoes and trips to the casinos. She was also a wonderful cook and enjoyed sharing her talent with many friends and family. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she participated in many church activities.

Survivors include her son, Dale Schneider (Kathy); her daughter, Carolyn Seals (Kenneth), both of Victoria; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sister, Olga Schuman of Gonzales; brother, Walter Wilke of Cuero.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Schneider, four sisters and three brothers.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm on Monday, January 2, 2017 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Rev. Barney Matocha officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Scott Wilke, Shane Wilke, Herbert Schneider, Jason Gibbs, Shaye Gohlke and Scott Winkenwerder
