Anette Wagner, age 90, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2011. She was born June 20, 1920 in Nordheim, Texas to the late Albert and Erna Bolting Mueller. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and the Altar Society. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters, Court of St. Ann. She was a school teacher, and impacted the lives of many students through her career at several schools including Our Lady of Victory, Mission Valley Elementary, Nazareth Academy, the Devereux School, and Victoria Jr. College. After retirement she worked in several flower shops and gift stores.
Anette was very artistic, and enjoyed crocheting, quilling, writing short stories, and painting. The numerous items she hand-made for her family and friends will always be treasured, including her Christmas jewelry, afghans, and her unique shadow-boxes. She was very special to her Family, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Dennis W. Wagner and wife Yoko of Austin, Michael F. Wagner of San Diego, California, and Gayle E. Fox of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; sister, Alberta Wieland of Austin; three grandchildren, Alyson Wagner of Austin, Brent Fox and wife Ira of New Orleans, and Brandi Fox of New York, New York; and two great grandchildren, Kamilah Fox and Elijah Fox of New Orleans.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Victor V. Wagner, and sister, Alfreda Huck.
Visitation will begin at 8:30 am Monday, January 31, 2011 at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral. Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 am Monday, with the Msgr. Michael Harrold officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
