Annette Holcomb went to be with the Lord on May 2nd, 2025. She was born March 26, 1938, to the late AB and Florence Horton of Wood Hi. Annette was known for her kindness and pure joy. Her bright smile lifted everyone she knew, she never met a stranger. Early in her day she worked at Victoria City Municipal Court. She was a member of First Christian Church and server in many capacities over the last 65 years. She was one of the first and a very proud Charter Member of Victoria Mall Walkers. Annette was so proud to be a farm girl from Wood Hi, and loved going to dances at DaCosta, Inez and Schroeder Hall with all her friends. Most of all she loved her grandchildren, they were her pride and joy. She was honored to be Nona, Grandma and soon to be Great Nona.
She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Lee Holcomb, parents AB and Florence Horton, sister Yvonne Moore, brother Monte Horton, baby brother Alec Horton and grandson Aaron Holcomb.
She is survived by her sons Keenan Smith (Rhonda), Billy Holcomb (Sara), daughter Mende Holcomb, stepsons Dan, John and daughter-in-law Grace Holcomb. Sisters Margie Sparks, Sherry Keene and Meredyth Jo Horton. Grandchildren, Jamie and Jennifer Smith, Arbor, Xiola, Zealand, Finn Holcomb, Destinie Mir (Shahid), Majella and Ashlene Holcomb. Our family would like to express our loving gratitude for the love and support of Caregiver Rachel Rangel, Altus Hospice Staff (Shantel, Coco, Ashley, Gidgett, Esther), her loving neighbors, First Christian Church Pastor Jack Justus and congregation for the countless prayers.
