Annie L. Williams

Annie Laverne Koenig Williams of Port Lavaca, Texas, went to join her Heavenly Father on April 6, 2017 at the age of 88. She was born February 3, 1929 in Ennis, Texas to Walter and Ruby Medlin. She raised four children whom she loved with all her heart. Mom was well known for her laugh that would fill a room. During her life she enjoyed baking, painting, bowling, gardening and teaching Sunday School at Alamo Heights Baptist Church in Port Lavaca. She especially enjoyed visiting with and nurturing her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Charles Koenig and his wife Judy of Bay City, Texas; Brenda Koenig Thompson and her husband Quincy of Victoria, Texas; Ray Koenig and his wife Barbara of Richmond, Texas; Pam Koenig Fox and her husband Jimmy of Wimberley, Texas; sister, Jeanette Foss and her husband Ron of Bay City, Texas; grandchildren, Dallas Henslee and her husband Mark, Heath Koenig and his wife Mandy, Ross Henning and wife Marisa, Stacey Krause her husband Johnny, Brent Koenig, Brad Koenig and his wife Amber, Courtney Clarke, Lindsay Clarke, Chris Griffith and his wife Ashley, Camille Griffith, Kelly Panfilli and her husband Archie; 21 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Hershel Medlin and Lloyd Medlin; and her husbands, Charles Koenig and F.J. Williams.

A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church, 2321 Avenue F, Bay City, Texas,77414. Burial will follow at Hawley Cemetery, Blessing, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Ross Henning, Chris Griffith, Heath Koenig, Brent Koenig, Brad Koenig and Johnny Krause. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Our Mom will be deeply missed, but we know because of her personal faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord, that those of us who share this faith will be with her again in heaven.
