Antoinette "Toni" Etlinger

Antoinette “Toni” Etlinger of Victoria passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2012. She was born October 7, 1926, in Houston to the late Joe and Julia Morale. She was the owner of the Smart Shop for over 30 years with her late husband, E. J. Etlinger.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, E. J. Etlinger in 1995.

She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Cathedral, the Red Hat Society, Victoria Jayceettes and Luncheon Pilot Club of Victoria.

Survivors include her daughter, Renette Etlinger of Lakeway; son-in-law, Steven Presti of Southlake; granddaughter, Kalie Presti of Dallas; sister, Jo F. Hill of Bend, Oregon; niece, Julia Wilson and nephew, Elliott Hill, both of Portland, Oregon.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 pm Friday, March 2, 2012, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. A Rosary will follow at 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral, Rev. Michael Rother officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 pm at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston.

Pallbearers will be Joe Etlinger, Steven Presti, Elliott Hill, Fred Hartley, Vance Kollatschny, Dean Bridges, Chuck Ashley and Hal Wickes.

Honorary pallbearers will be Clinton Voelkel, Dr. Larry Dornburg and Bill Ruddock.

Special thanks to Paula Rodriguez, private caretaker of 4 years; the staff at Clare Bridge at Homewood of Victoria, Twin Pines and Crown Hospice of Victoria.

Memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, the Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
