Barbara Warzecha Baca

Barbara was born on March 7, 1941, in Westhoff, Texas, to Raymond and Frances Warzecha. Barbara lived a full and remarkable life and touched the hearts of everyone she met. Guided by her strong Catholic faith, Barbara never met a stranger and delighted in conversation, whether sharing stories about her love of baking or her life on the farm.

She will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Bobby Baca; her daughter, Karen (Lonnie) Vickery; her son, Kevin (Vivian) Koenning; her grandchildren; Kelsey Trahan, Roy Koenning, Bradley Koenning, Alisha White and great-grandchildren, Beckett Trahan, Parker Trahan, Harper Koenning, Hayden Koenning, Hailey Koenning, Rhylie White; her brother Marvin (Virginia) Warzecha; sister-in-law, Sallie Warzecha; Bobby's children, Dave Baca (Pris Files), Brian Baca (Brenda), Brad Baca (Cyndi); grandchildren, Kathy, Jason, Gabby, Emily, Courtney, Lydia, Ben, Jill and so many cherished friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by both her parents; her siblings, Lawrence Warzecha, Daniel Warzecha, and Margaret Wollny; her granddaughter, Kandis Vickery; and her step-son, Randy Baca.

A small celebration honoring Barbara’s full and beautiful life will be held on January 10, 2026, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Yorktown, with visitation at 10:00, Rosary at 10:30, and Mass at 11:00. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, with a meal afterward at the Holy Cross Activity Center.

Pallbearers are Austin Trahan, Roy Koenning, James White, Mark Warzecha, Adam Achttien and Chris Lyons.
